Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. After his father left the family, Edgar was raised by his mother along with his two siblings. After she passed away he was seperated from his brother and sister and was taken in by John and Francees Allan. He attended prestigious boarding schools and was known to be a good scholar as well as athlete. His early works included some romantic poetry and comedies. But after his wife became ill in 1842, Poe wrote some of his most memorable work such as "Tale-tale Heart" and "The Black Cat."

Near the end of his days, Poe was found in a madenned state in the streets of Baltimore. He was taken to a hospital where he would die. His last words being, "Lord help my poor soul."
